One standard, many contexts
Research needs vary enormously with who is doing it. A doctoral candidate is usually working alone on a single, high-stakes project where the goal is a defensible thesis and a first publication or two. A faculty member is juggling several papers, grants, and deadlines at once, and needs elastic capacity rather than a permanent hire. A research institute is running applied work that will be scrutinized in public. A university is thinking not about a single paper but about the research performance and accreditation standing of a whole school.
These are genuinely different problems, and pretending otherwise—offering everyone the same undifferentiated "research services"—serves no one well. So we have thought carefully about what each type of client actually needs, where the pressure points are, and how our capabilities map onto them. The pages below set that out honestly for each group. The same methodological rigor
We do not run a two-tier service where large institutional clients get careful work and individual researchers get something cheaper and looser. A doctoral candidate's analysis is diagnosed, stress-tested, and documented to exactly the standard a policy agency's is, because a thesis chapter faces a viva and a referee just as an evaluation faces public scrutiny. The stakes differ; the standard does not.
The same reproducibility
Every client, at every scale, receives work they can re-run and defend: versioned code, documented specifications, and a clear trail from raw data to result. This matters as much for a single paper as for an institutional research program, because reproducibility is what makes any result trustworthy in the first place.
The same honesty
We scope every engagement honestly, including telling clients when they do not need us, when a simpler approach would serve them better, or when their analysis does not support the conclusion they hoped for. An individual researcher gets the same candid advice a large institution does—we are not more willing to tell hard truths to clients with smaller budgets.
The same respect for your authorship
Across every client type, the line is identical: we support and strengthen your research, and we never write it for you or claim any part of the credit. The work and its authorship remain yours whether you are a lone PhD student or a research office commissioning a whole program of work.
